Dr Vimal Rau Aparow completed his PhD in the mechanical engineering (automotive) department at Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM). Then he joined the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore as a postdoctoral researcher. Currently, he is working as assistant professor in the department of electrical and electronic engineering and head of the Automated Vehicle Engineering System (AVES) research group at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. He is a certified professional engineer and chartered engineer approved by the UK Engineering Council. His research interests mainly focus on vehicle dynamics, vehicle control and safety testing for automated vehicles and unmanned aerial and mobile robots.
