Dr Umar Zakir Abdul Hamid, PhD, is an internationally recognized leader in future mobility and autonomous vehicles, with expertise across Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Finland and Sweden. His career spans key roles at Moovita, Sensible 4, Zeekr and Proton (Geely Holding Group). Dr Hamid notably drove Sensible 4's growth in Finland and led the EU digital strategy for electric vehicles at Zeekr. Currently leading international product export management at Proton, Dr Hamid is also a frequent keynote speaker and has authored over 30 technical publications. He received the Finnish Engineering Award in 2020 and 2023 SAE’s Young Industry Leadership Award.
