Muhammad Zain Khawaja is a senior tech lead at the Autoware Foundation, where he leads the development of a new open-source autonomous highway pilot system within Autoware. Khawaja is also the lead developer and architect of the AutoSeg Vision Foundation Model. Prior to joining Autoware, Khawaja gained his MEng from Oxford and was an early software engineer at Oxa. Khawaja was also CEO and founder of UK-based autonomous driving startup, Propelmee, which holds the record for the longest-ever recorded autonomous journey on UK public roads. Khawaja also previously founded a VC-backed virtual reality startup.
