Christian Gutenkunst earned his B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees in mechatronics/mechanical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2010 and 2012, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, in 2020. Since 2017, he has worked at the Advanced Solution Lab of AVL Deutschland GmbH in Karlsruhe, first as a (senior) application engineer and later as a solution manager, specializing in ADAS/AD toolchain development, integration, and real-world testing. He has contributed to several funded projects, including V&V methods and Safe AI Engineering, and has published multiple research papers in his field.
