Antonello is a staff systems safety engineer at Plus, where he focuses on ensuring the Safety of the Intended Functionality (SOTIF) of autonomous trucking systems. He holds a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from Politecnico di Milano and a PhD obtained in Paris, specializing in the probabilistic modeling of dependencies between technical, human and organizational factors within complex systems to mitigate safety risks. With over 10 years of experience at companies including Airbus, Jaguar Land Rover, Argo AI and CARIAD, he specializes in autonomous driving safety engineering. Based in Plus's Munich office, Antonello leads the company’s SOTIF strategy and is also responsible for other system engineering activities, such as developing functional scenarios and defining the operational design domains (ODD) for products and features.
