Michael Praxenthaler holds a PhD from the University of Regensburg, where his research focused on driver distraction and in-vehicle tasks. Until 2024, he served as Managing Director of empirience GmbH, leading studies on traffic safety, human-machine interaction, and driver assistance systems. Since 2025, he has been Expert for Traffic Psychology at Allianz Center for Technology (AZT), focusing on human factors, traffic safety, and the safety and insurance implications of automated driving technologies.
