MORAI Simulation Platform - Driver Monitoring System

MORAI Hall: 1 Stand: A140
The automotive industry is facing increasing demand for advanced Driver Monitoring Systems capable of detecting distraction, drowsiness, misuse, and other safety critical driver states. At the same time, privacy regulations and data governance requirements are making large scale real world in-cabin data collection more difficult.

MORAI addresses this challenge through a digital twin based DMS simulation platform that recreates realistic in-cabin environments using configurable virtual humans. The system can reproduce existing assessment scenarios including Euro NCAP and ADDW protocols, while also enabling custom scenario authoring for OEM and supplier specific validation needs.

Virtual occupants can be configured with adjustable profiles such as height, age group, skin tone, accessories, and occlusion conditions. A wide range of transient and non transient behaviors are available through built in libraries or custom behavior creation tools. Behavior filter functions allow additional actions to be layered into primary scenarios, enabling noise enriched testing for driver state detection systems.
The generated outcomes can be used as synthetic training data, scenario replay assets, and early stage validation inputs for next generation DMS development.

While the broader project scope includes correlation between synthetic and real world data for credibility and validation, this exhibition will focus on the Proof of Concept demonstration of the simulation platform itself.
