BITS Pilani, through its Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP), has inaugurated the Automotive Competency Centre (ACC) in Chennai to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry in automotive and mobility systems.

The centre supports experiential learning, applied research, and industry engagement by enabling students, faculty, and working professionals to work on real-world engineering challenges in next-generation mobility and manufacturing. ACC Chennai is equipped with laboratories and simulation facilities focused on software-defined vehicles, e-mobility systems, embedded automotive technologies, diagnostics, functional safety, and automotive security.

The initiative aims to foster innovation, practical problem-solving, and workforce development through industry-linked projects and capability-building programmes.
