Operational safety: ZF Mobility safety case study

In the world of highly automated vehicles, overall safety during operation is a key challenge. Everyone talks about safety as the top priority but whether it is done at ground level is yet to be proved. There is ambiguity in the information exchange between an AV’s behavior with surrounding users, occupants, VRUs and emergency service providers because this is done in bits and pieces. This presentation will address overall safety during the operation of real-world case studies of the actual implementation of unmanned shuttle programs in the Netherlands and Germany.
