Olivier Sappin

Olivier Sappin has 25 years of expertise in the transportation and mobility industry, systems and 3D design for virtual product/experience innovation. Since December 2019, he has been CEO of CATIA at Dassault Systèmes. He started his career in 1995 in CATIA’s shape design industrialization team. He then joined the Automotive Competency Center working with renowned customers like Toyota, Honda, Stellantis, BMW and Renault to help them transform their design practices. In 2011, he was appointed vice president of the newly defined transportation and mobility industry, which helps manufacturers and suppliers develop new mobility experiences for their consumers.

Navigate toward the next generation of automated driving and software-defined vehicles

In the constantly evolving industry ecosystem toward the software-defined vehicle, the development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and automated driving (AD) are at the forefront, promising enhanced safety and a better driving experience. However, the sheer complexity of these technologies requires a paradigm shift in the development strategy to ensure success.
