New remote controller streamlines ADAS testing
AB Dynamics
The newly launched GTC Remote from AB Dynamics will be on display at the expo in San Jose. This handheld device enables test operators to control ADAS platforms without the need for a static base station to improve the efficiency of ADAS testing.
The GTC Remote is ideal for vulnerable road user ADAS tests where only one target is required. It streamlines test setup, enabling engineers to spend more track time testing. With the typical static base station components consolidated into a handheld unit, its portability, combined with simplified software workflows, significantly reduces the time required to get test scenarios up and running.
“Many ADAS scenarios involve just a single ADAS target,” says Jack Hines, project engineer at AB Dynamics. “Using our new GTC Remote, technicians can set up these relatively simple scenarios more quickly to optimize track time.”
The remote incorporates a user-focused design, a ruggedized weight-balanced housing that integrates a 7in color touchscreen, a powerful processor and a long-lasting battery. The GTC Remote features interchangeable radios for use with AB Dynamics’ radio options and other existing communication infrastructure. It also includes AB Dynamics’ industry-leading safety system, which provides failsafe communication monitoring.
Come and see the GTC Remote demonstrations, alongside AB Dynamics’ LaunchPad Spin and LaunchPad 60 ADAS platforms, at the company's booth.
