In-cabin simulation – NCAP,  AI usage and more

24 Jun 2026
Wednesday, May 24, AVT Live Zone – afternoon session
Driver monitoring has many challenges due to regulations like NCAP and the sheer number of necessary tests. A way to address this is simulation using synthetic data. While introducing problem fields and presenting solutions, we emphasize one important accelerator: AI. But where can it benefit us most in in-cabin simulation? Anyone who has ever generated images using AI knows the challenges that come with it. Intensive use – especially in safety-critical environments – must be held to a high standard. That’s why we’re providing an overview of the challenges associated with driver and occupant monitoring, and demonstrating how universal in-cabin simulation is.
  • Challenges of managing the huge number of test cases implied by functional testing and standards like Euro NCAP
  • Technical overview of in-cabin simulation and its use cases
  • Use of AI in in-cabin simulation
