Tuesday, May 20, Live Zone 2 - morning session
Scenario-based simulation and testing offer high scalability and enable systems validation at an early stage of development. The highly realistic simulation tool CarMaker enables the development and testing of cars and light-duty vehicles consistently throughout all stages of development, while RoadRunner provides a platform for authoring scenes and scenarios for simulation. In this presentation, IPG Automotive and MathWorks discuss how they leverage ASAM standards to enable customers to build connected workflows across their tools. This is essential, as OpenScenario and OpenDrive are critical for tool vendors to provide interoperability and link scenario-based simulation and testing of automated driving systems.
- How control engineers can test their algorithms in the virtual world to ensure that they are functioning correctly
- How real-world recorded sensor data can be used to automatically generate scenes and scenarios
- How to export scenarios from RoadRunner and import them into CarMaker by using the ASAM standards OpenScenario and OpenDrive
- How real-world tests can be analyzed and tested, taking into account the physical behavior of the vehicle
- How to fulfill sensitivity analyses of the system under test, considering different variations and parameters as well as robustness tests
