Thursday, May 22, Live Zone 2 - morning session
Automotive radars play a crucial role in the safety and reliability of ADAS systems and autonomous vehicles. To ensure the fidelity of radar sensors, radar target simulators are deployed with different purposes and technologies. Use cases for RTS systems extend from early-stage development of radars and functions to later stages of calibration and end-of-testing, each entailing its own set of requirements. It can also be future use cases such as periodic technical inspections and workshop tests/calibrations. In this presentation, we will demonstrate real-world requirements and examples of RTS deployment, as well as the role of regulation and standardization.
- The need for in-lab testing and validation of automotive radars
- Current and future use cases of RTS in the automotive industry
- Requirements for various use cases of RTS
- Demonstration of radar performance in front of an advanced RTS
- Regulation and standardization issues for automotive radars
